Get A Swimmers Body By Summer

January 18th, 2010

Want  a swimmer’s body by summer? Then now is the time to get started. No matter what shape you are in right now, you have time to look better by the time summer gets here but don;t wait. To do
this will require two basic things: a strategic exercise program that mixes weight training and cardio work in the right amount at the right time and a proper diet to fuel muscle growth and help to eliminate fat to revel your swimmer’s physique.

Now is the time to start because great swimmers bodies don’t happen overnight. It takes time to develop muscles and then to burn excess fat so that the muscles are more visible. After all, NFL linebackers have lots of muscle, but that is not the body type we are after. You want the sleek body of a swimmer.

Start now to get a swimmers body for summer.

Start now to get a swimmers body for summer.

To begin your strength training you will need to establish a weight training program designed to build muscle mass as quickly and efficiently as possible. Work hard and smart. Find a program that cycles you through different phases of weight training.

If you have ever strength trained with weights for any length of time then you know that after a few weeks of rapid gains, your body adjusts and the gains slow down. Kind of disappointing. This is your body’s way of adapting to the stress of resistance training. You need to switch up you workout to keep your body growing.

To overcome this you need a program that cycles you through periods of heavy lifting with lows reps and light lifting with high reps. A good program will be well planned to challenge your body the right way at the right time. You can gauge your progress your self and then switch up your program when the gains slow or you can turn to scientific experts to design a program for you.

I recommend getting a professional program like “The Swimmers Body“. You want to get the maximum muscle growth out of the time you spend working out. You want to work both smart and hard. This program, which you can download today, was developed by leading experts and will help you get the most out of your workouts.

It also includes nutritional information to maximize your gains and comes with a money back guarantee which is great to. You can also find other programs and information online but I like this one because it was developed by experts specifically for people like us that want the awesome look of a swimmer! (You can check it out by clicking here. ) You don’t want to waste time guessing what works if you want a swimmers body by summer.

No matter what program you go with, you will want to get started right away because most cycles last 6 – 8 weeks. You will build muscle in one cycle, reduce fat in another and repeat. If you start now you can work through several cycles before summer so when you take off your shirt and reveal your swimmers body  you are going to look great!

The Two Things You Need To Get Your Swimmers Body

November 11th, 2009

Hi Mark here, talking about getting a swimmers body. Getting a swimmers body is not as hard as you might think. You need just two things to get a swimmers physique. You need strong motivation and the right information. That’s really all you need.

With a swimmers body like this you will never be afraid to take off your shirt!

With a swimmers body like this you will never be afraid to take off your shirt!

I’m sure that you have the motivation to get a swimmers body. You might be tired of being shy, like I was, about taking your shirt off at the beach.  Or maybe the few extra pounds that you packed on over the last two years make you feel uncomfortable when you are with your girl. Maybe you just want to look awesome and turn heads wherever you go. What ever the case you have the motivation you just need the right information.

A friend of mine who is a body builder told me that there are two ways to grow muscles. One is to work harder, go to the gym everyday and bust it until you can’t move then work out some more. The other way is to work smarter.

I’m not one to spend hours in the gym. I’ve got a life, so I like the idea of working smarter. The fact is that scientific research shows that by combining the right exercises at the right time with the right nutrition you can get the best results all with workouts of less then an hour. You don’t need to spend your life in the gym to look great. So where do you find this information?

One of the best programs that I have found is the The Swimmers Body Nutrition Guide, Weight Training and Cardio Program. The sports scientists that developed this scientific approach to building an ideal body have really put together a great program. It shows the proper combination of strength training, cardio and nutrition to get the swimmers body that you want.

If you want to get a swimmers body it is not enough to gain lean muscle mass, you have to shed excess fat to reveal your toned muscles. The hard part for me has always been eating the right foods to grow the muscles without adding extra weight. I get big with muscles easily, but with it comes a few extra pounds of flab that cover it up. Its hard to convince anyone that under the fat is a well toned six pack!

The Swimmers Body program outlines exactly how to eat for maximum muscle growth without adding fat. (One draw back is that the program doesn’t give recipes which is okay with me as I usually don’t like what they are serving anyway! )

Another problem that I have is that when I lose weight, I have certain areas that just don’t want to respond. If I cut my weight to much to lose the fat in these areas, I lose some of the muscle that I work hard to gain and that sucks. The Swimmers Body program gave me some great advice on how to keep the gains and lose the fat.

I guess I could go one about the Swimmers Body Nutrition Guide, Weight Training and Cardio program but that’s not what this post was supposed to be about. You can check it out for yourself by Clicking Here.

With that said, I’m heading out to play the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare game with my friends. Wishing you the best with getting your swimmers body!

Swimmer’s Body -vs- Football Player’s Body, You decide…

November 11th, 2009

Do you prefer a swimmers body....

Do you prefer a swimmers body....

Okay, here’s the deal. My best friend and I were sitting around with our girlfriends the other day and we started talking about working out, getting a swimmers body and how things are going for us in the gym. You know, talking about the new equipment, about reps and sets and stuff. Anyway as we were talking about weight cycling and protein our girls were looking at us, talking and pointing.

Ryan finally ask what they were pointing to and talking about and his girlfriend said the differences in our body types. I have a swimmers body and Ryan, who plays football, is built like a linebacker. She said that, although both of us are in shape and look good she liked Ryan’s body better. He has a thicker body, with the a broad muscular chest and strong, explosively muscled legs.

My girl, said she likes my well proportioned swimmers body with the v-shaped torso and defined abs – couldn’t argue with here there!

Anyway to make a long story short, we decided to put it to a vote. Which body style do people prefer. The thick solid muscular body of a football player, or the trim well proportioned body of a swimmer.

We let the girls pick out the pictures of the swimmers bodies……

And the pictures of the linebacker’s – football players bodies…..

The football players body

So there you have it. Which do you prefer, the swimmers body type or the football players body type? Leave your comments and let us know. Thanks.

To Get A Swimmers Body Requires Strength Training

November 4th, 2009

How can you get a swimmers body? A swimmers physique. The lean, muscular v-shaped body that drives women crazy.  Before we go any further you need to ask yourself, do you want to swim faster or do you want to look great at the beach? The way to swim faster is not necessarily the way to get a swimmers body. The two are related but not the same and this site is about building a body like Michael Phelps or Ian Thorpe.300spacetopright

In the last post we talked a bit about the need for weight training. You want a swimmers physique, you want to turn heads

A perfect swimmers body requires strength training

A perfect swimmers body requires strength training

at the pool and feel good about yourself when you are standing in front of the mirror. A key component of this is strength training. You need to develop muscle mass and the best way to do this is by resistance training. Most top rated swimmers use strength training as part of their daily work out.

So what is the best program for strength training? I found this video on YouTube that has a great program.

To get a swimmers body requires a proper combination of strength training, cardo workout, and nutrition. Since your goal is to get the body of a swimmer and not a linebacker, you need to get the right swimmers weight training plan. A basic approach is to do more repetitions with a moderate amount of weight. This will increase your muscle mass while toning the body. Try to keep your reps in the 20 – 25 range. Do three – four sets of reps per motion.

Some of the exercises that are beneficial to reaching your goal of a swimmers physique include: squats, calf raises, lunges, leg presses, leg extensions, leg curls, lat pull downs, bent over rowing, seated rowing, lateral raises (excellent because it helps define the shape you want),cable torso twist, bench press, shoulder press, tricep kick backs, and curls (esp dumbbell curls). It is vital do work on your abs.  Crunches and other ab exercises should be done with each workout.

These are the core components of a swimmers weight training program. The secret to success is how you put them together. We will tackle this in the next post. Until then keep working out and don’t give up the dream of getting a swimmers body.

Get a Swimmers Body – Learn How

November 4th, 2009

How to get a swimmers body? The swimmers body is often thought of as the best looking body. The swimmers physique is lean and powerful. It has broad muscular shoulders tapering down to a narrow waist. The arms and legs are muscular but not out of proportion like a weight lifter.

Proportion might be the one thing that sets a swimmers physique apart from any other athlete. The body of a swimmer is perfectly proportional, strong, muscular and tight without being overly large in any one area. They don’t have the freakishly large muscles of body builders.

So how do you get a swimmers body? The answer lies in a combination of proper diet and proper exercise. A lot of people think that swimmers get their great bodies from doing a lot of swimming. That’s only partly right. Swimming is a great way to work out but it takes more. You need to do weight training and provide proper nutrition for your body.

Swimming is a great way to get aerobic exercise as it increases your heart rate. It does burn calories that can help to burn extra fat but it doesn’t really help to build lean muscles that swimmers have. So how do swimmers get muscles? Like everyone else by proper weight training.

Weight training, along with proper nutrition, is the best way to add muscles to your body. Swimming alone won’t do this. When you swim you use only a certain combination of muscles. Muscles that pull you trough the water. The muscles responsible for pushing are not used. Your body tends to compensate for this by not allowing your muscles to grow out of proportion. Kind of a defense mechanism.

Weight training will help you grow the muscles that you need to get the swimmers physique that you want. However, weight training alone will not give you the body that you want.

Think about it. Some of the most muscular guys are on the football team but they don’t have the body of a swimmer. Think about the 350 pound NFL linebacker. He’s got muscles in his ears but definitely not the body of a swimmer.

So what makes the difference? Check back tomorrow and find out. I’m off to the pool!
